Affordable, accurate water quality sensors for citizen scientists, students, and educators

Video by Andrea Serra.

We believe that science, education, and environmental engagement go hand in hand. Moving beyond technological barriers is our mission and passion.

Beyond awareness.

Our planet is fragile. Urbanization, climate change, and the destruction of habitats cause large-scale damage to sensitive ecosystems.

Any meaningful action has to be guided by science, and good science requires high-quality data.

And that’s where we come in. We believe that everyone can participate in our understanding of the planet. We are in this together, so let’s work it out. “Do nothing” is not an option anymore.

GaiaXus is merging the accuracy and precision from laboratory instrumentation with the ease of use and affordable price of consumer electronics.

The result is a high quality, portable water monitoring system that is suitable for K12 education, citizen scientists, universities and volunteer organizations.

How It Works

Dip the probe into the water where the sensors read temperature, turbidity, salinity, pH, dissolved Oxygen and other parameters.

01. Go Outside

02. Upload the data.

Once removed from the water, the device automatically connects to our secure app and where the data is displayed before it is uploaded to our cloud.

03. Learn and share.

The cloud allows citizen scientists and students to review the data, analyze trends, collaborate with partners, share information, and plan new programs to improve and safeguard the environment.
